The Fox in the Forest (+ Duet)
It all started when my husband brought home a few jigsaw puzzles (I can blame him for all this then, yes?), on a whim, last November. He completed the few he’d purchased, mostly on his own, then sometime in March or April of this year (2021), he more or less decided he was done with puzzles — but my obsession had only just begun. Since early 2021 I’ve completed a ton of puzzles (pictured below, current count at the bottom of this page). The vast majority have been 1000 pc puzzles, though there have been a handful of 500 pc puzzles and the lonley 750 pc puzzle in there as well. And oddly enough, I’m not tired of it, though I do find myself wanting to do puzzles that are larger than my puzzle board quite often these days. Once we’re in a bigger place you better believe I’ll be snagging another board capable of holding 1500 and 2000+ pc puzzles!
On the flip side, neither my partner nor I are die-hard board/card game players, and we don’t have any consoles, but there are a handful of games we play over and over, none of them are terribly complicated — which is exactly how we like them. Games aren’t something we want to think overly hard about, and the sillier the better. Most often we just want something to pass the time and keep us away from the TV.
I am always happy to receive puzzle/game recommendations! If any of these resonated with you and/or remind you of a favorite that isn’t included here, I’d love to hear about it!
